Progression Rewards

Dungeon rewards
In general, dungeons/scenarios should reward more than just equipment in order to become more appealing in order to avoid frustration due to the possible rewards exclusively being obsolete items.
  •  Experience: any type of currency for non-item-related character progression.
  • General currency: any type of currency (valor points, reputation etc.) for progression in general. Should have a daily/weekly cap to prevent player burnout due to overextension.
  •  Specific currency: currency items - aka tokens - that are tied to the acquisition of specific items. This element should be used pretty generously because it can be used for anything and everything and make PvE more fair - if getting tokens is the norm, being able to acquire items (if only in the long term) becomes far more predictable. Also, it enables players to choose what they get instead of having to put up with completely randomized loot.
  • Unique materials: if the profession system reflects this addition, crafting materials unique to specific dungeons or dungeons in general are a huge benefit (either things like primal nether or frost orbs; or items that are needed for specific crafting endeavors).
  •  Items for M+: one of the more contentious issues, considering that this loot can't hold a candle to raid loot and this doesn't even take the randomness of the item drops into account. A possibility would be that players get "upgrade tokens" appropriate for the keystone level which enable them to upgrade baseline mythic versions found in the same instance. Another possibility would be to add items that have additional stats that are useful in M+. but nowhere else.
Changes to currency rewards
  • Since it's annoying to amass some sort currency reward (PvP, valor, justice or whatever the current currency of the expansion is) with one character who already is fully stacked in the gear available for it, but has to grind them again from scratch for alts (even worse when the currency is capped)...
    • make them directly tradeable with other characters on the same account.
    • introduce a shared pool for each currency for an account/faction on a server.
    • introduce buyable currancy tokens that are BoA (this would have the additional option to put a tax on them, like 33, 50 or 67%)
  • For those who don't have a use for that solution (their alts are also stacked out in BiS gear, they don't have alts or whatever else): Currency points should be sellable. At the moment, if one wants to capitalize on excess currency units, one has to buy outdated pvp epics, wait 2h and sell them, which is needlessly complicated when all one wants is to get rid of excess points instead of sitting on a cap.
